(162) Safety and Feasibility of Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections for Peyronie’s Disease: A Randomized Double-blind Placebo-controlled Cross-over Study

Abstract Introduction Peyronie’s Disease (PD) is prevalent in approximately 7.1% of the general population. Current treatment approaches include medical therapy and surgical intervention, intervention only occurs once disease process has entered chronic, stable phase. The FDA-approved involves use intralesional collagenase clostridium histolyticum injection interventions tunica albuginea plication, plaque excision without grafting, or placement penile prothesis. Autologous platelet rich plasma (PRP) may prove to be a viable for this patient population due its ability facilitate tissue repair wound healing via various growth factors. Objective We hypothesized that PRP can safely utilized patients with PD, minimal adverse events. Methods reviewed data an initial series men recruited into ongoing randomized double-blind placebo-controlled cross-over study at University Miami from April 2021 June 2022.
